Snow in Springfield

My next door neighbor took these pictures of us playing in the snow last week. The kids had a snow day on Monday, 2 hour delay on Tues. and Wed. and teacher conferences on Thurs. and Fri. It ended up being a very, very long week for mommy. I have a lot more pictures of the snow, but my camera battery died. I found out that you can only get rechargeable batteries directly from Kodak.com. I am still waiting for it.

Knowing what you want

Little miss Paige is definately getting a mind of her own. I was peeling an apple for Justin the other day and Paige keep yelling at me. She kept grabbing for my apple. I gave her the apple to take a bite and she didn't want to give it back to me. She proceeded to eat half of the apple.

Paige's friend

This beautiful little girl belongs to our good friends that just happen to live next door. She is eleven weeks old today. Paige has to give her kisses and check on her the whole time she is here. It is a bummer that just as we are leaving Springfield I have found a new SISTER (right Tom & Kelly). It is really great to have somebody that you can say anything to (right Dawn, Addie & Kris) and not worry that they will judge you. I know I can be ME!!!!!!! Thank you for that Kelly.

Neighbor Friend

This is our neighborhood squirrel. He loves to run along the top of the fences and up the big tree in our backyard. He will sit on the back fence and stare at Paige in the window. He keeps us entertained.

Craigslist junky

Well it is official. I have become a craigslist junky. I have put some misc items on there and already sold a few things. My sister-in-law, Lisa, bought a new couch and loveseat off craigslist in Portland for cheep. I know she watched craigslist for a long time but got what she wanted.

I got to go SCRAPBOOKING on Sunday in Roseburg. My group of friends in Roseburg FORGOT to invite me. I decided to just show up. They were all very surprised. I know there are a lot of times I can't go. Sometimes I just show up when nobody expects it. Love and miss you girls (Kris too).

We are not doing much this weekend except cleaning out the garage. I going to craigslist a bunch more stuff so I don't have to move it with us to Portland. Hope to see you all soon.

I will add some more pics this weekend.

Grandpa & Paige

I have a fond memory to share with everybody. Here is a picture of Paige riding on the front of my dads walker. As you can see, she is having a blast. The walker belonged to my Grandpa McNamee when he was still alive. I have a picture of Kyle riding on the very same walker.

I know why I love scrapbooking so much. I can take two pictures and put them side by side and tell a story. My kids will know these little memories and stories. I will never have to worry about them not knowing the story of how they were born or the story of the permanent marker all over the house (Dawn and family - no laughing).

Man at work

With having four kids (yes, including Tom) in the house, my carpets get really dirty. We borrowed a carpet cleaner from June and Lisa. Tom took over like he owned a carpet cleaning company. He cleaned carpets for a living when we first got together and is a bit of a perfectionist. It is true he can be domestic when he wants. THANKS HONEY - YOU DID A GREAT JOB.

Asleep anywhere

Justin thinks that he is getting to big for naps. If we are really busy on the weekends, he is not required to sleep. These pictures were taken one afternoon around 4 pm on a day no nap was required. It is amazing to me how kids can fall asleep anywhere or in any position.

Misc pics - 1/18/08

Once again it has taken me forever to update my blog. Here are some miscellaneous pics from the last couple of weeks. I got a new camera for Christmas and I am still trying to figure it out.

Christmas at the beach

Well our family did something different over Christmas this year. We decided to go the beach for four days. We rented a house in Lincoln Beach (between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City). It had four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It had an open floor plan for the living room, dining room and kitchen. Sunday it rained, Monday it sunshined and Tuesday it rained, hailed, sunshined and blew really hard. My parents were really bummed that they couldn't come because of my dads injury. Next year we might try the snow. I am kicking myself for not getting pictures of the house we stayed out. I wish I could remember to do that like Addie always does.

12/26/07 - Grandpa's accident

Well the reason I have not updated the blog lately is because my dad fell on 12/17/07 at work and broke his hip. He slipped on a wet floor and broke the ball off his hip joint. He had a partial hip replacement the same day. He got out of the hospital on 12/22/07. I got him a lift chair and my grandmother brought over two different walkers for him. He has physical therapy a couple of times a week. I just got home today after being gone for 12 days. IT IS GREAT TO BE HOME!!!!!!! This is the only picture I got of Grandpa. They expect him to return to work in about 6 weeks.

12/8/07 - Springfield Parade

We took the kids to the Springfield Parade. The locals have told me that it is the oldest and coldest parade around. The kids were all bundled up, but really enjoyed themselves. The kids in the pics from left to right are Trava, Colby, Kyle (Bubba), Kyle, Justin and Ashley. We met up with friends and Grandma June and Ashley decided to join us.

12/2/07 - Christmas card photo shoot

Well it is that time again. The Christmas season
is happening again. The kids have told me what
they want for Xmas. I have spent way to much
money. I have send out all the Xmas cards. I am
excited to get pictures back from everybody else.
I love to see how all the kids have grown, but I
would also like to see what their parents are
looking like. Here are a couple of goofy pics taken
during the shoot.

One year checkup

Well we took baby girl to the doctor for her one year checkup today. She is in the 6th percentile for height (27 1/2 in) and the 9th percentile for weight (18 lb 7 oz). I think she is going to be really short (like her daddy).

I just hope our kids get their height from somebody else in the family.

Air Museum - McMinnville

We were on our way back to my moms when we decided to stop by the air museum. We didn't get to go inside, but the boys were so excited to see the tanks, helicopters and airplanes. Kyle has just started getting into army things.

I posted four different posts this time. Check back to Thanksgiving. I wish I was better at updating like Addie and the crew. At least everybody gets to see pics of my babies.
