Misc. pics - 8/29/07

Here are few pics from the last couple of days. The first pic is the boys searching for treasure in the backyard. They decided to put on their ball caps, welding glasses and pirate swords. It is amazing what kids come up with on their own. The next three pics are Paige looking in the mirror, standing on her chair (mommy was in the kitchen and ran to the rescue) and showing me her two front teeth. If you notice in the mirror picture, you can see that we just got her ears pierced. We had pink birthstones put in them. I couldn't get a picture of both ears because her cheeks are toooooo chubby. We will be leaving for Fort Stevens State Park on Friday. I hope to get some great pics. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Another Day

Sorry Flo about all the "Blog Pressure" you receive. I don't feel like I even have time to go to the restroom by myself with three mobile kids. If I update my blog every couple of days, I will be lucky. I am really glad I am up and going with Flo, Jenn and Addie. You guys might have to give me a few pointers.

Not much has happened this week. We are trying to do a lot of park visits before school starts. I am not sure if everybody knows, but we got the word that we are moving to the Portland area. Tom and I are really excited to be closer to family. I am looking forward to having date nights with my husband again.

We will be moving in the next two months or so. We will keep everybody updated with the info.

Out for a hike - 8/17/2007

It was an overcast day on Saturday. We decided it was a great day for a hike. I took this picture of the boys walking down the railroad tracks. It reminds me that I am very lucky to have a husband that is soooooooooooooo active. It gets us out of the house and we never know from week to week what is going to happen. I wish I was more spontaneous.

Oregon Coast - 8/12/07

On our way home from Tillamook, we decided to go along the beach. The boys played in the water, dug holes in the sand, and looked for shells. I only let Paige down for a few moments because she wanted to eat the sand. We stopped at Seal Rock at the tidepools and got to see sea stars, a crab, lots of shells and sea lions. Just as we were leaving the coast, we saw the most beautiful sunset. We stopped long enough to take pictures (minus a sleeping Paige). It was a really refreshing day.

Tillamook Fair - 8/11/07

We decided to go to the Tillamook County Fair. Tom hasn't been to the fair in a long time. We ran into a few of his old classmates and a lot of family. The kids really enjoyed being with Grandma June and their cousins. These are the memories worth remembering. I really hope I can give my kids the "Hometown" that Tom grew up with.

Paige - 8/7/07

I just love this picture of Paige. I really have to watch her now that she is crawling. She makes a beeline for the front door. In this picture, we had to shut the front door while the boys were playing outside. She stood by the window for at least 30 minutes watching the boys.

Shotgun Creek - 8/5/07

Since we have moved to Springfield, Tom and I have been looking for a place to take the kids to play in the creek. A friend of ours recommended it and the boys had a blast playing there.

Park - 7/24/07

At the end of July, we went to spend some time with my mom. She took us to a really large fort park. The boys wanted to go down the slide with Paige. Mommy decided it was a great time for a photo.

Night Out - 7/7/07

Tom and I finally got a night out. A girl from his work was getting married so Grandma June came down to babysit. It was really strange to put on a pair of high heels. We need to do this more often.
