Christmas at the beach

Well our family did something different over Christmas this year. We decided to go the beach for four days. We rented a house in Lincoln Beach (between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City). It had four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It had an open floor plan for the living room, dining room and kitchen. Sunday it rained, Monday it sunshined and Tuesday it rained, hailed, sunshined and blew really hard. My parents were really bummed that they couldn't come because of my dads injury. Next year we might try the snow. I am kicking myself for not getting pictures of the house we stayed out. I wish I could remember to do that like Addie always does.

12/26/07 - Grandpa's accident

Well the reason I have not updated the blog lately is because my dad fell on 12/17/07 at work and broke his hip. He slipped on a wet floor and broke the ball off his hip joint. He had a partial hip replacement the same day. He got out of the hospital on 12/22/07. I got him a lift chair and my grandmother brought over two different walkers for him. He has physical therapy a couple of times a week. I just got home today after being gone for 12 days. IT IS GREAT TO BE HOME!!!!!!! This is the only picture I got of Grandpa. They expect him to return to work in about 6 weeks.

12/8/07 - Springfield Parade

We took the kids to the Springfield Parade. The locals have told me that it is the oldest and coldest parade around. The kids were all bundled up, but really enjoyed themselves. The kids in the pics from left to right are Trava, Colby, Kyle (Bubba), Kyle, Justin and Ashley. We met up with friends and Grandma June and Ashley decided to join us.

12/2/07 - Christmas card photo shoot

Well it is that time again. The Christmas season
is happening again. The kids have told me what
they want for Xmas. I have spent way to much
money. I have send out all the Xmas cards. I am
excited to get pictures back from everybody else.
I love to see how all the kids have grown, but I
would also like to see what their parents are
looking like. Here are a couple of goofy pics taken
during the shoot.

One year checkup

Well we took baby girl to the doctor for her one year checkup today. She is in the 6th percentile for height (27 1/2 in) and the 9th percentile for weight (18 lb 7 oz). I think she is going to be really short (like her daddy).

I just hope our kids get their height from somebody else in the family.

Air Museum - McMinnville

We were on our way back to my moms when we decided to stop by the air museum. We didn't get to go inside, but the boys were so excited to see the tanks, helicopters and airplanes. Kyle has just started getting into army things.

I posted four different posts this time. Check back to Thanksgiving. I wish I was better at updating like Addie and the crew. At least everybody gets to see pics of my babies.

The Man I Love

I remember when I told June (Tom's mom) that I can't believe she gave birth to Tom. She told me that she didn't know what she was doing - but what was my excuse because I married him.

The reason I love him is because there is never a dull moment with him. The boys can't wait to see what daddy will come up with next. He never has a problem laughing at himself - this is a trait I am still learning. Tom - thank you for making life interesting and enjoyable.

My baby is 1 year old.

I can't believe my baby is 1. I wanted to do a big party, but we decided to do a small one after Thanksgiving. I didn't mean to leave anybody out. She got a couple of new dresses, new chair, clothes and a couple of toys. She wasn't to interested in the paper or the toys. She loved her chair and balloon more than anything.

1. God

8. Enough love to last a lifetime
9. Scrapbook Retreats (right girls!!!!!!)

Great Friends

Here is a pic of my scrapin' girlfriends. We took this picture on our retreat in November. Love you girls!!!!!!!!!!!

Scrapbook Idea

When we went on our scrap retreat, I found this idea in a magazine. Every year the kids pick out an ornament and put it on the tree. I love this idea of putting all the ornaments of their years together in one book. I will be able to look through it to remember what the liked each year. Dawn - did you do this project? If you did you need to share pics.

The Move

I am sorry, but here a some more pics of Paige. I decided to clean out the frig and somebody tried to help me. I turned around and this is what I found.

Some new news: We have gotten word that the office in Milwaukie will open on March 1 if everything goes the way it is suppose to.

I am having a touch time deciding if I am happy or not about the move. I know I felt the same way when we moved to Roseburg and again when we moved to Springfield. Just when I am feeling comfortable - we move. I am really glad that we will be closer to family, but I am going to miss my friends in Roseburg (Dawn & Addie) and our neighbors and family here (Bill, Kelly, Jeff & Ingrid). I worry about getting Kyle settled in a new school. He is doing so great here and then we move. I know Kyle is really smart and social. He will do fine.

I am looking forward to being close to Jenn (Vancouver) and Kris (Beaverton). Maybe we could get together and scrap.

I know I have unloaded a lot, but just a word to all family and friends. I love and miss you all. You all hold a special place in my heart.

I think this is my favorite page I have done in a long time. I love the picture of the sunset in the middle. I am thankful everyday for what God has given us.

Paige makes the funniest faces. Every mom has to have the towel baby pics.

When my dad lived on the farm, Kyle was his shadow the whole time we were there. Kyle's pics of the pumpkin patch from last year.

Pictures of Paige taken at Grandma June's house.

Last year the boys got bath paints and wanted to paint each other.

Pictures of the boys and I at the park. It seems like I am always the one behind the camera. Not this time.

Pic of the boys in the front yard.

The girls of the family.

A picture of the kids at the park.

The big kid that will never grow up. I think that is what makes her so young.

Family photo at Kyle's Kindergarten graduation

The boys walking together at the park.

Justin had an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. He kept telling me that his polka dots were going away.

Scrapbook Pages

Here is a page of my little girl. Her brothers thought she would look cool in their shades.

My climber

This girl is a climber. Everytime I turn around she has climbed into or is standing on something. I just wanted everybody to know that when I update my blog, I post several different posts. All the posts are new up until 10/15/07. I am sorry there are so many pics of the little one, but she is easier to catch up to than the boys. It is like pulling teeth to get the boys to sit still. Love to you all.

Halloween

Here are my four kids out trick or treating. Kyle has been Superman for 4 out of 6 years. Justin decided he wanted to be a firefighter. Paige is wearing the costume that Grandma June made for Kyle for his first Halloween. All three kids have worn this costume.
